CBS apologized for running a rereun of “The Price is Right” where one of the grand prizes in the “Showcase Showdown” was a trip to New Orleans complete with a speedboat. The winner would stay “within walking distance of the French Quarter” (as reported by DirectTV News mix). They pulled the rerun before it aired on the west coast. Woops.

I need to correct the report, they did NOT pull it before they aired it on the west coast. I saw it, and I laughed. I didn’t think to myself, they should apologize! I still love the Price is Right. Good work Bob!

I know this is coming in ridiculously late (’cause I just now found this), but CBS *did* air a different episode on the West Coast — to be specific, the fourth-last show of the previous season. It actually made big news in the show’s fan community because it was aired with its credit roll intact (CBS didn’t have time to insert the promos for the usual reformatted version).
I have to wonder what time zone Pace lives in…if it’s Mountain, then the reason he saw the New Orleans show is that stations in his time zone simply record the feed that’s run on Eastern and Central stations and air the recording at 10:00 Mountain. The other episode was only seen in the Pacific Time Zone.
