I don’t know what a Boffin is - but it sounds scary. They are making “zombie dogs.” They basically kill dogs, replace all their blood with ice-cold salt water, wait a couple of hours, and then revive them.
The only problem with the dogs we bring back to life is that they usually have eyes that glow red, and they are posessed by the devil.The dogs are brought back to life and are completely normal - with no brain damage
In a couple of years they will want to try this on humans. (Humans who are in a bad situation anyway - like battlefield victims who have lost a lot of blood) Any takers?

Oh - they replace the salt-water with blood before they revive the dog. I didn’t make that clear in the article. Still… kind of freaky.
