Today was the first day I could register for classes. Seeing as I have 130+ credit hours, I guess this is only fair. So far, my schedule for next semester seems pretty packed. Fortunately, every class I registered for was available. (As you all know, I was really worried about Vascular Plant Morphology [kidding].)

After I got the few classes I needed, I just threw on a bunch of random classes that I don’t need. Sure, I’ll drop them eventually - but it is just funny to see “Beginning clothing construction” next to “Computational Physics 3″ on a schedule. I really hope that my differential equations courses have helped prepare me for the rigors of Math 102: “Quantitative Reasoning,” because that’s on my schedule too.

Once I finally pear down my schedule and get rid of these oddball classes I added on, my schedule shouldn’t be too bad. Some seniors spend their last semester taking “breather” courses that they can finally “enjoy.” There are two reasons I wont be doing this. First, I’ve been in school so long I don’t think there is such a thing as a class I can’t fail would “enjoy” for the sake of “enjoying it.” And second, that’s what I did all along.

  1. Just be careful you actually drop those classes in time. I will forever have a W in Racquetball, Beginning because I didn’t remember I had signed up for it until it was too late. There have been many potential employers that have seen this and said to me, “You seem to be qualified in every way, and your research is amazing, but I’m sorry, if you can’t stick it out in a simple beginning racquetball class, I don’t think you are the kind of person I want to hire.”

  2. For the most part I’m screwed if they even request my transcript.
