Okay, columnist is a strong word – more like “blogger” – but however you want to put it down on your resume is okay with me. Recently, we have been inundated with requests for more good content. It’s impossible for us here at RyeBlog to keep up with these requests unless we increase our staffing. So – that’s where you come in.
To apply, simple leave a comment here with the following:
- Your column name
- What you would write about
Oh, and as is the case with any job – I will not give you any hint about what you will be paid until after you pass through a strenuous interview process and I extend you an offer.
You will only be expected to post new things in your column when you feel like it. You will feel like it once a week.
If you have any questions, contact me in the comments here. Thanks.

I’ll write about your mom!
HA HA HA
If you get a partner, will it become the Rye & (Insert columnists Name Here) Blog… or the Rye & Friends Blog. Having fame n fortune flash before my eyes is more appealing than any temporal reward.
My compuer is stuck on this one story… so I have a new idea for this when you rerun it next week cause no one applied… make it The Apprentice Ryan. Maybe it won’t bomb as bad as The Apprentice Martha.
What do you mean, when I re-run it next week? I have thousand of applications that you cannot read because they are, um, hidden.
It’s too hard to change my domain name or my header – so I think instead of changing the name of the blog I would change the name of anyone who wrote for the blog to “Rye” – which would be very cool for those lucky enough to get in on the action.
Since my blog is famous around the world, it would be an excellent addition to your resume if you were a contributor to the RyeBlog.
I think we should get a bunch of us blogging and we could form a conglomerate and call it “RyeBorg” and then maybe AOL would buy us out. It worked for Weblogs Inc…
If I had a column, I’d write about anything and everything I could put a humourous spin on. Oh, and it would be good. Mostly the viewpoint of a college sophomore, which I am, on all things I find are interesting, which are many. Politics, celebrities, music, my friends,…celebrities, and stuff like that. A few columns I have written appear on that website, but they aren’t paying me, which is a drag.
Oh, my name is Matt. I think I misinterpreted the directions.
