You can file this under: “Useless Tricks”. Google has added yet another feature to integrate an existing third party web service. If you enter a UPC code, it automatically references a link to the UPC Database project to perform a lookup.

Of course - for 99% of the users out there - if you have an item and the UPC for it - chances are you already know what it is you are holding on to. Perhaps if you were blind, and you had a screen-reader program - you could use this to identify the CD you are holding (if you had a barcode scanner).

I’ll give a high-five to the person who can come up with the funniest actual product simply by typing in random numbers into that website :) (Cheaters will be shot)
