Tonight at 7PM (8pm in some areas) - Survivor Season 12 will hit the air. In the wonderful RyeBlog tradition - it’s time for you to make predictions based on the pictures alone. (If you recall, some of us did well last time in picking the winner based on her picture alone.)
This will be particularly hard to do - seeing as the format for the game is going to be changed around. Instead of two tribes, there will be four tribes. The tribes will be divided up between men and women, old and young.
Somehow, somebody will be sent to “Exile Island” each week. Who knows what they will have to do there, or what it involves other than a freeky prop of a gigantic skull.
Time to post your predictions for winners… etc. in the comments. Use only the pictures! (If you read the bios, I guess that’s okay - but you shouldn’t trust them.) You can’t add any predictions once the show has aired (or after you have watched it on your TiVo), so get on it now!

My first pick is Bobby. I don’t really have a reason, except for he looks like a winner. My second pick is Misty. She seems like she should be smart if she’s an engineer.

I’m going with Danielle. She looks strong, but likable, able to fly under the radar, but not a pushover. I got all that from a picture. I agree with Aubrey, Misty is a good second choice. I didn’t pick her soley because I hate the name Misty.
Incidently, I told the group that I watch Amazing Race with about your blog and predictions, and we are predicting the winners of the next AR on my friend’s blog. It’s a fun game.

Based on pictures alone:
The guy on the far left with the stupid hat (I can’t tell who it is because CBS.com decided not to do mouseovers this time) - no chance, he’s a poser.
The ugly guy in the green hat (Austin) might be my pick for winner based only on his picture.
Bruce: No chance
Ceri: No chance
I don’t think the girls will stand much of a chance this season - the changes really favor a guy.
Here are my predictions when I actually read the bios:
My favorite is Terry. He is 46 and a retired Navy Pilot/flight instructor. I believe that his background in survival situations (they have some crazy training that they go through) will give him an advantage when it comes to the Exile Island aspect. His love for competitive boardgames like Risk make him
The person who most suprised me was Dan - he looked like some kind of super-pansy, but apparently he’s a retired astronaut. (I wonder if he smuggled any astronaut ice cream in with him) He will be a good ally to Terry - but I don’t think he has what it takes to win.
Of all the girls, Misty has the best bio - and she was Miss Texas Teen USA 1999 - (Interesting title… Why not just “Miss Teen Texas?”) so I think that they will try to keep her on the show as long as possible to draw ratings. So I guess that means challenges involving distance running, or building electrical circuits.
Bobby - I don’t think he stands a chance. He is conflicted: “He describes himself as dominant, loyal, malleable and stubborn.” - um… malleable and stubborn don’t work together, buddy. Plus, he’s a lawyer with tattoos all up his arms. I think he will annoy everyone. I guess the best way to see his personality would be to digg up the episode of “Blind Date” he was on in 1998.
Sally might be a suprise in the girl’s category. She has applied to Survivor 5 times, and is fanatic about the show. This sounds similar to Brian last season - who fizzled out in a large part based on his bad spot after a merger. (Although Brian had done extensive research on the politics of Survivor, and written a paper on strategies to win survivor. She probably lacks that kind of mental horsepower.) She might also be a suprise because she likes Settlers of Catan - if she’s any good at it she would probably be good at Survivor.
So my final analysis is: Terry will rise above his wardrobe mistake (what’s up with the polo?) and clinch the title. Sally will be an interesting competitor, Bobbie will tick people off, and Misty will be given lots of camera time.

I think it is going to be Misty, because she is young, a girl (they always seem to make it to the end) and she is tough due to her being in a military family. Also, she will be deciplined.
