I have noticed a lot of people coming into the site searching for “Olympic Medal Design”, and I felt bad because I don’t think they found what they were looking for. Here’s an image from the associated press that describes the Medal Design.
Medal Design
It’s interesting to note that the back of each medal is unique to the sport that it is awarded in. I wonder if multi-gold medal winners ever swap medals with other winners in an effort to “collect them all.”

The AP picture makes them look really cool. I am sure that they are in real life. Saw one being held by a gold medalist - it looked like a bagel on a ribbon in the paper. ouch!

  2. The image doesn’t specify if the Olympic Medal takes 10 hours for all 8 people to create it - or if it takes 8 people 10 hours each to make it (80 hours) I’m hoping it is only 10 hours total - but that is still a really long time.

I could teach them how to quickly tie the girth hitch they are using - if that’s the hangup…

  3. Hello
Any idea who may sell the blank shape of the medal with blank ribbons for promotional purposes.
    Thanks
    Frank

  4. Hmm… A hardware store, maybe? Just get a big fatty washer…
