It’s bad enough when people knit their own ugly items of clothing and wear them, but it’s even worse when they inflict them on small children. I don’t know if you were fooled by the design or not, but those aren’t jeans the little boy is wearing. Those are pants knitted to look like jeans. Why this would be advantageous, I am not sure. Considering the amount of time and yarn it must have taken to make the fake jeans, it seems like a lot of effort to replicate something that can be bought at Target for $10.

but in China, jeans are worth 100s so it is cheaper to knit them. My Chinese bed maid told me.
Babies in China have those pants… only they don’t knit the crotch closed in China… they leave it open so the kids and go “number one” or “number two” at will.
I know this is an old post, but I just came across it after a google search for “ugly knitted baby pants”. My friend keeps putting her baby in these ugly ass knitted pants that are supposed to have something to do with cloth diapering, and I wanted to know if this is a trend, or if I’m the only one who thinks those things are butt-hein. They aren’t *quite* as bad as these jeans, and I think they are closed in the crotch. But they are pretty hideous. Ladies, cloth diapering is not an excuse to put your baby in scary clothes.
