Thank goodness there will never be a constitutional ammendment banning the burning of that thing… or banning the savage beatings of people who make those things for that matter!
What are you talking about? As Marla said, there really is nothing like wearing a thick, knitted shawl/sweater/blanket outside in the beautiful July sunshine. And it even has pockets to hold a nice cold drink.
This may be kitsch in the USA, but I’m soon to move to England where the 4th of July can be chilly and dank. The Brits are pretty good at serious kitsch –which they call “twee” (think garden gnomes) but I think I can hold up our side with this item, which I may need to knit this to annoy my neighbors who don’t like Americans. If so, I shall surface-embroider stars on the blue part, –and dollar signs on the pockets. . .I want it, need it, can’t live without it. . . .somebody help me. . . .

What I'm Doing...
Getting to work, doing some images for a sales guy to take with him to a presentation. 44 mins ago
Rhett is in bed. I'm upstairs on my phone chatting on irc via connectbot and irssi, and browsing the web. G1's are nice :) 12 hrs ago
I wonder why Figaro had to have an inanimate doll turn into a boy for him. Were there no orphans back then? Or women for that matter? 13 hrs ago

Nicole, Wasn’t this what you were knitting yesterday? I hope it’s done by the fourth. Nothing like wearing a nice warm wrap outside!

Excellent way to show appreciation for the 4th, just no rolling on the ground or burning.
