Surivor “Gabon” starts tonight next thursday. It will be the first season of Survivor broadcast in high definition – which sounds great until you realize that in every episode of survivor at least 10% of the available screen real estate consists of blurred-out boobs and butt cracks. I guess the nature scenes where they juxtapose animals eating each other with castaways talking strategy might better in HD. (I know I can’t wait to see a spider eat a big bug in HD).

Rather than do a full-on fantasy survivor this season we’re going to go back to the old tried-and-true “pick the winner based on pictures alone.” For bonus points, you can make wild predictions about individual castaways as well.

Danny is lazy, and his laziness will contribute to his downfall.
Jessica will sleep with at least one guy on the island. Probably Randy. This affair will end his marriage, but will launch his career as a reality-show circuit star. He and Jessica (Sugar) will eventually have their own show on E.”
The more bold and crazy the predictions, the better. If the predictions come right, a wild and crazy prediction will be worth as many points as guessing the winner of the show.

Are you kidding me? Skinny kid always sneaks in… I’m calling Charlie. Meanwhile, Bob will turn out to be gay, Danny and Crystal will do a “black pact” only to backstab each other just before the merge, Dan is voted off first for being too big, unless he’s a teddy bear, then it’s the old lady.
Bob wins…. beating Jacquie in the finals.
First person voted out: Corinne and/or Gillian.
Variables: If Ace and Randy get teamed together, they could create chaos, but I’m guessing they’ll be on different teams and neither will be around to see the merge.
Most annoying: Michelle.
Most cookie-cutter: Marcus, Matty and Dan…. viewers won’t be able to tell them apart and they’ll go home early anyway.
Best negative hype: to the CBS employee who wrote these bios. Good grief, do they really want us to hate these folks and want them all to lose?
Bob will win the entire thing. On the survivor finale / reunion show, he will create a major stir when he appears in his normal hair and makeup and reveals to the world that he is actually Anderson Cooper.
Susie will cook food for her tribe, and they will love her for this. Until they realize that she is intentionally undercooking their food to make them all sick.
I predict that Ace will hook up with Corinne. This will cause the rest of the castaways in his tribe to get scared and vote Corinne off (they hook up before the merge). Ace then gets angry, and in a fit of rage he chops off Michelle’s pinky toe and wears it on a necklace to remind the other castaways not to mess with him. He is subsequently voted off the next week.
Randy looks like he thinks very highly of himself. He will be one of the more annoying characters this season, and will be voted off relatively early because he bugs the women.
I am voting for Paloma – yup she is gonna win!
