Drool on a Plane

Rhett with a big head

We’re on our way to Mexico, and are currenty in Phoenix. Traveling on a plane with a baby is certainly easier before they can move, say “dat dat dat” while pointing to things they want, and have the strength to pull the window shade out of its track.

Aubrey’s brother and his wife got bumped last night off of their flight, so they are on the same flight as us to El Paso. Party time.

How you can tell if you’ve watched too much ‘Hogan Knows Best’

I’ve heard many times that children have very impressionable minds - and that they are prone to absorb things that we might not even think possible… but I never believed it until I saw it with my own eyes.

Hulk Hogan Pose
After TiVo found and recorded a few episodes of “Hogan Knows Best” - we were hooked. It’s like the Osbornes - minus the drugs, minus the profanity, minus the annoying gothic kids, and minus the subtitles (you can actually understand these people.) It’s interesting to watch Hulk Hogan manage his two teenage children… but that’s not the point.

The point is this… Here’s how Rhett seems to be most comfortable these days. This is how he will sleep, and how he will naturally pose when he is loafing around…
Rhett poses like Hulk Hogan

Rhett's 2nd Hulk Hogan Pose

I guess we should be happy we haven’t been watching too much Spongebob or who knows what he would be posing like.

Round 3 of Rhett pictures is posted

Another round of pictures of Rhett are located here.

At his last checkup, he was past his birthweight. He’s now 9 lbs 13 oz. This makes it much harder to toss him to his mommy This makes him a little heavier to hold. (Especially if you are Grammie Gardner with twigs for arms)

More Pictures of Rhett Posted

I have posted more pictures of Rhett over on the .Mac account. The main reason I’m posting them all there is that it is so easy to just click in iPhoto - export to iWeb - and publish to .Mac. Easy is good.

Some Hilights this week:

  • Rhett went for his first walk. (In a stroller.)
  • Rhett developed more powerful lungs
  • Lots of poop.
  • Mommy is feeling a little better

Things we are looking forward to:

  • Sleeping through the night

I guess we could be looking forward to other things, but that is the one that comes to mind most readily at the moment.
